Well, today is my best friend's birthday too--so people born on this day MUST be wonderful!
I'm sorry you are feeling so down. I'm a Leo, and we set great store by our birthdays and by people making a fuss of us. I know you are Baptist, so I don't know if you drink or not---but I hope you won't be offended when I tell you that I am raising a glass in your honor tonight. Happy Birthday!
I will wish you what I wish all my friends on their birthdays: May the coming year bring you all the happiness you deserve and leave you with many wonderful memories. :-)
I'm a young woman trying to find a way to balance my beloved faith and my desire for a feminine beloved. God is good, and in charge, which is a good thing, because I would totally mess things up.

Not really where you want to be on your 27th birthday, eh? That sucks. :(
I am so impressed by the steps you've described taking in the past year on this blog, and I am sure you have a lot to be proud of. Take care.

Happy Birthday (a day late). Your journey is not an easy one, and sometimes these marker days are harder. But the journey is worth pursuing.
Here is hoping that you have a good Birthday week, or Birthday month.
Hi there, friend--and happy birthday. :-)
Came for a visit after noticing you'd dropped by, and I'm glad I did. I like the way you write. I like your brave honesty in facing your questions.
And--by way of reassurance--I was also broke and alone at 27. Now I'm 43--have been with my partner for almost 12 years.
We're still sort of broke. (Oh, well...) I'm a mainline church musician, she's a speech therapist through the public school system.
You, friend, are going to be OK. That honesty and courage I mentioned before will serve you well.
And you're not alone, really, you know. :-)
